What flooring works best in a lake home with heavy use and humidity?
For most lake homes, we recommend 100% waterproof LVP or porcelain tile in high-traffic and wet-exposure areas, and engineered hardwood — not solid wood — in main living areas. Solid hardwood can cup and gap in lake humidity. Engineered products are dimensionally more stable. We walk you through specific product options during your design consultation based on your property's conditions.
Can you replace flooring in a vacation rental without shutting it down for weeks?
We plan vacation rental flooring projects around your booking calendar. Most flooring scopes can be phased — common areas first, then bedrooms — to keep portions of the property available. We also work between checkout and check-in when time allows. Tell us your calendar constraints and we'll schedule around them.
Do you repair and level subfloors before installing new flooring?
Yes — subfloor assessment and correction is part of every flooring project we do. Installing over an uneven or damaged subfloor is the most common cause of premature flooring failure. We identify and correct subfloor issues before installation so the finish floor performs as it should.
